Filmsupply Introduces the Inaugural Issue of “Film & Music Periodical”

Now arriving in mailboxes and creative agencies: the inaugural issue of Film & Music Periodical, a new editorial publication from Filmsupply and sister brands Musicbed and Stills.

Film & Music Periodical

At Filmsupply, we’ve always believed the strongest creative work reflects perspective, intention, and the people behind the camera.

Created in collaboration with sister brands Musicbed and Stills, Film & Music Periodical is a new editorial publication made for creatives who care about the people, processes, and ideas behind visual culture.

Built for the global creative community, each issue covers industry shifts across film, advertising, music, photography, and design through filmmaker spotlights, artist features, creative commentary, visual storytelling, and curated cultural recommendations.

Inside each issue, readers will find conversations around emerging filmmaking trends, artist and filmmaker features, FM news, tour listings, and perspectives from across the wider creative industry, all curated to inspire creative teams and spark new ideas.

The publication arrives at a moment when creative industries are increasingly optimized for speed, convenience, and automation. While creative tools continue to evolve, Film & Music Periodical was created to reinforce the value of intentional craft, human perspective, and real creative collaboration.

More than a traditional brand publication, it exists to celebrate the artists and creative teams continuing to shape meaningful work across the industry.

We highlight Filmsupply filmmakers, such as Sam Davis, who won an Oscar for his work on “The Singers,” and South Africa-based Roger Horrocks, whose work in My Octopus Teacher, Our Planet, Blue Planet II, and Our Oceans earned him honors including an Academy Award, BAFTA, and Critics’ Choice Award for Best Cinematography.

Filmsupply: Film & Music Periodical

Part newspaper, part creative journal, Film & Music Periodical was intentionally designed as a physical experience: something to leave in edit suites, production offices, agency spaces, and studios, rather than another link lost in a browser tab.

“We wanted to create something creatives could physically interact with,” says Filmsupply Creative Director Spencer Cogburn. “Something that could live in edit suites, studios, agency spaces, and creative offices instead of disappearing into the algorithm.”

Printed as a full-color broadsheet newspaper, each issue was designed to feel collectible, tactile, and worth revisiting: a reflection of the same intentionality and craft the publication aims to champion.

The first issue has shipped and is now making its way into agencies, production companies, studios, and creative spaces around the world.
